Interested in serving MPMS? The MPMS Nominating Committee is now seeking members who are
in being considered as a candidate for the 2017-2018 Massachusetts
Podiatric Medical Society (MPMS) Board of Trustees.
We also welcome involvement on our committees!
There are many benefits of serving as a volunteer leader, including:
MPMS values and seeks diverse leadership. It seeks leaders from all
types and sizes of podiatry practices. Candidates should possess
positive leadership attributes, emotional intelligence, ability to work
collaboratively and engage in appropriate debate and discussion when
needed, and visionary and strategic drive. Candidates must be able to
make a commitment to participate in 6 board meetings a year. At
present, the board meets over dinner on Wednesday evenings in Waltham,
MA but has begun to move several meetings a year to video conference and explore other locations that work best for the board.
Playing a significant role in advancing the profession of Podiatry;
- Having an opportunity to enhance the value of MPMS and the Podiatry profession to the medical community;
- Accessing up-to-date information about the challenges facing the profession; and
- Exchanging ideas and perspectives with a diverse group of volunteer leaders.
